HAPPY 21ST BIRTHDAY
MAY THE JOY IS YOURS, FOREVER.
It was a slightly random decision when you’re 13 years old and you just made a friend who asked you to accompany her to the mall. Of course at that moment you remembered the Do’s and Don’ts of your parent’s Book of Rules. At the same time, you thought, this is the perfect opportunity to be close to someone, a real friendship. So, fuck the Book of Rules.
Along the way your friend mentioned that we will be meeting some of her other friends. At that moment you got worried. Yeah you’re quite friendly and all but won’t they smell your bullshit? Won’t they know there’s something wrong with you? Will they suffocate you will all sorts of personal questions? You know what, it’s already a ‘fuck it’ moment, let’s just be done with it. Then you met the other friends. Little did you know, it’s the Second Entity. (by now you probably know that you’re the First Entity).
Fast forward, you both became the closest of friends even when the First moved away to continue her studies while the Second stayed back to help out the family. Some might say they both would forget about each other, they would no longer be friends anymore. The memories would just be a sweet flashback you’ll have when you’re old and unable to do anything for your life anymore. Alas, it didn’t end up that way.
Yes, they are miles apart now. Yes, they hardly communicate with one another. Yes, they can’t be there when the other one need them to be. Yes, it seems like a very weird friendship to hold on to. But what makes it strong? Why did neither of them pulled the plug already and end the life of this friendship?
Frankly, i don’t know that myself. But i have a vague idea.
The two entity could still be together because when they first met, they didn’t need to tell the other one their whole life story. They both respected each one’s privacy. So, they both just enjoy whatever the flow may bring them to. Ironically enough, because of that they both learned more about each other as they both slowly tell each other pieces about themselves. That is why, the two entity can hold on to the life of this friendship and hopefully, shall be continued even in the afterlife.
